The ROESServer has it's own Email Client for sending emails to your customers and yourself.
**Use the tab at the top of the ROES Server UI to access the Email Configuration screen.**
Three Configuration Sections - The top section configures your connection to the mail server you chose to send your emails. The middle section configures the email content and who to send it to. The bottom section configures the error emails sent to lab personnel by the ROESServer.
Email Values- Mouse over the different sections of the screen below for descriptions of each areas use. Clicking on some areas will give you more information on email configuration.
Address: - The Mail Server Address that will be sending out emails for you. You will enter the value in a format of ServerName:Port:Authentication (Example: smtp.gmail.com:465:ssl). Your Email Provider will give you the Address connection values. Often times, you can find these values up on their website under 'Email Settings' for 'Outgoing' or 'SMTP Server' emails.
Username: - The username created or given to you for logging in to the mail server.
Password: - The password created or given to you for logging in to the mail server.
Email Report On Initial Order Processing Success: - This checkbox turns on the Middle section of this page. You don't have to send out an email when the order is received...or you may want to send out different styles of email for certain orders. This can be done under the 'Reports' tab or using the 'Reports Printer' under the 'Printing' tab. Check this box if you want to send out an email of the same kind when an order is successfully processed.
Send Test Email Button - The button will use the email address entered in the 'From:' field and send a canned, test email to that address. This tests the SMTP Server settings in the top section of the configuration page and confirms the computer running the ROESServer has full access to the server via the internet.

From: - Enter whatever you would like the From field to say in the email. Typically it is something that references the Lab name.
To: - Enter the email address you want the email to be delivered to. Typically this is a Macro [CUSTOMER_EMAIL] so it would be sent to the email address entered by the customer who sent in the order.
cc: - If you or someone else would like to be notified when an order comes in, you can enter that email address here (Carbon Copy).
bcc: - If you or someone else would like to be notified when an order comes in but don't want that email address to become public, you can enter that email address here (Blind Carbon Copy).
