The ROESServer uses local folders at your lab, to save different parts of an order. It also needs a place to grab high resolution graphics from when rendering. These are the order directories.
UNC Paths - While not mandatory, it is highly recommended that you use Universal Naming Convention when entering these paths. This makes sure that all computers on your network will be able to find the folders referenced. While all computers on your network might have a C: drive, they won't all have a 'Order Images' folder.
Order Directories Paths - Mouse over the different sections of the screen below for descriptions of each folders use.
DIR_ROOT_PATH - The ROESServer can use a Macro to define the folder containing the Order Directories. This is useful in a mixed OS (Mac and PC) environment.
Incoming - This is the folder 'watched' by the ROESServer and fed by the RTPServer. It will contain the orders coming to the lab from your customers in files named with an extension of .ro.
Finished Orders - Holds .ro order files that have successfully processed. You can also use this as an informal backup location for all orders received. You can redrop any of these files in the Incoming Folder to create them a second time. This folder can grow quite large and should be cleaned out periodically as appropriate.
Working Files - This is where we unpack the .ro file and 'Work' out of when moving the other files to their intended location on the network. It will hold the order.xml, the log from the Client when an order is created and other support files.
Order Images - This folder holds the HighRes image files carried in the .ro order file. These images will be used when rendering and creating products for an order.
Attachments - When an option uses the 'needs_file' attribute, files gathered into the order will be deposited here.
Client Generated Images - When the Designer Suite is used, the files created from rendered text and other files are placed here and used when rendering out products.
Reports - This folder is used to store reports created at the time the order is initially processed and describe the order content of each order. You may also use this folder to store reports generated during the production process using the [REPORTS_DIR] macro as the path.
Layout Backgrounds -These files are the HighRes Graphics files you created for your products and will be used when rendering out the final products (layoutimages, nodeimages, maskimages). SubFolders are NOT allowed in this folder.
